What do you think of when you hear “Adventure on the High Sea”? For me its just “Another day at the office.” What you’re looking at was shot a few days ago traveling between Alaska and Southern California. Spending my life for the last 40 years on the sea, this is as normal as a highway commute. As my carreer comes to it’s inevitable end, I find myself asking the kinds of questions we all ask. Is this all there is? What will I do now? And how do I use my one and only life to leave something worthwhile behind?
My Past

I’ve been sailing and transporting essential supplies and materials for our military and business partners for over 40 years. In that time I’ve seen virtually the entire water covered surface of the planet (multiple times.) I’ve seen amazing accomplishments, and unbelievable heroism. I’ve also seen disaster and tragedy, I’ve been proud to deliver the necessities that saved lives and made untold futures possible. I’ve moved tons of cargo from decks in 125 degree desert heat and -40 degree arctic blizzards.
It’s facing that kind of challenge that you discover what kind of person you are. What you’re made of. This is the place that you forge a character. Establish yourself as a man of your word and vision.
A Realization
In my travels I’ve watched the world change. In some cases for the better. In other cases not. One of the things I’ve seen is the great patches of plastic waste in the middle of both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. Huge regions larger than Texas filled with millions of pieces of plastic waste. Now we know this plastic doesn’t go away. The Wave actions and constant sunlight make the plastic brittle and it breaks up into smaller and smaller pieces called microplastics.
Ultimately microscopic bits of plastic find their way into the plankton and the ocean food chain. Ultimately it ends up in our bodies and contributes to cancer, metabolic and autoimmune disease. This is one of the important things I want to see addressed in my lifetime.
Water is life. We need to ensure everyone has access to it.

And that brings us to the present

So what’s the answer? How do I make the last chapters of my life the best? My life has been lived on the water. It was only natural to focus on water, it’s existential importance, it’s ability to touch every aspect of life on the planet.
By creating a new kind of service. A business founded on making the world a better place for everyone, serving all of humanity. Being at the center of addressing some of the most difficult problems on earth, and solving them with a balance of humanity and technology, we can transform the world and establish a new kind of business.
That’s the adventure I’m here to create with you.
